The SEC cleaned up again this year with the most top football recruits for the upcoming season. The Big Ten was down, with no team appearing in the top ten, but a slew appearing between 10 and 20. Notre Dame had two late defections which dropped their status a few slots, but the Irish recruited well on offense again. See the rankings from Rivals.com here.
The changes in Chapel Hill apparently paid off as UNC brought in the 16th ranked group according to Rivals.com. Miami, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Clemson, and Virginia all came in between 18 and 24.

Wake Forest rallied from a 6-3 deficit with two fourth quarter field goals to defeat Georgia Tech at All-Tel Stadium in Jacksonville today. The game was played in a light rain which matched the light attendance on hand. TRR wonders if the long-term prospects for the ACC Title game are strong if conference powers, FSU and Miami, do not get back on track with their football programs.

Tech (5-2 overall, 3-1 ACC) currently is tied with Miami for the division lead, but Miami’s lackluster play this year suggests that this could be Tech’s best chance in a decade to win the conference title.
